Job Title

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee laboratory sections performing specimen processing, testing, and reporting results in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure quality patient care by maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements.
• Confirm accurate test performance in specialties such as chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, microbiology, and clinical microscopy.
• Provide leadership and oversight for laboratory operations during assigned shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Perform initial bench technologist functions and lead designated sections in a hospital-based laboratory.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science, biological, chemical, or physical sciences, or related healthcare field.
• Current, unexpired Medical Laboratory Science, Technologist, or Specialist certification from a nationally recognized agency.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a generalist in high-complexity clinical testing.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience performing high-complexity testing across multiple laboratory specialties.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
