Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Location: Columbia, SC

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Nights shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to elderly patients in the Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit with telemetry capabilities
• Manage patient assessments, administer medications, and perform IV starts
• Monitor telemetry for arrhythmias and manage dysrhythmia interpretation
• Collaborate with geriatric resource nurses to focus on preserving patient cognitive and physical function
• Follow heparin protocols and manage central, peripheral, and PICC lines
• Ensure documentation compliance using EPIC electronic medical records

Required Qualifications:

• Active South Carolina or multi-state nursing license
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry units
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency in starting IVs, blood administration, and telemetry monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with heparin protocols and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Ability to float to other units or campuses as needed
• EPIC charting experience
