Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the Epidilepsy Monitoring Unit for prescheduled patients undergoing seizure evaluation and treatment.
- Monitor neurological status and activate seizure protocols during events.
- Support patients and implement safety measures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Document patient assessments and care activities accurately using electronic health records.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in neurology or specialty units.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records system.
- Ability to work night shifts.
- Local candidates preferred at the same rate.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in neuro or specialized neurological units such as EMU, PCU, or stepdown units.
- Knowledge of seizure management and neurological patient care.
