Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Monitor and manage critically ill children with diagnoses such as respiratory distress, respiratory failure, DKA, seizures, and pain.
- Administer and monitor treatments including moderate sedation, drips, arterial lines, and central lines/CVP.
- Collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in ICU or pediatric settings.
- Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
- Familiarity with patient diagnoses such as respiratory distress, DKA, and seizures.
- Proficiency in handling invasive procedures like arterial lines and central lines.
