Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to medical and surgical patients based on nursing principles.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare and administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, IV routes, and document all medication records, reporting adverse reactions per policy.
• Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, post-treatment care, and home management.
• Monitor vital signs, record medical information, and interpret electronic displays to ensure patient safety.
• Manage specialized equipment, initiate corrective actions for adverse symptoms, and respond to life-threatening situations following protocols.
• Assist with procedures, change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, and prepare clinical equipment as needed.
• Support discharge planning and ensure documentation of care is accurate and timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned depending on the clinical setting.

Required Qualifications

• Current Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Ability to float between facilities (Lander & Riverton) based on census needs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for pediatric or adolescent patients occasionally.
• Experience in a hospital environment with a focus on surgical and medical patient care.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
