Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT exams using appropriate imaging equipment according to established protocols.
- Verify patient identity and review medical records to determine exam appropriateness.
- Interview patients to obtain or update medical histories, assess risk factors, and explain procedures, including potential side effects and post-care instructions.
- Set up equipment and acquire quality images as per physician’s orders.
- Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions, and communicate findings to radiologists.
- Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to patient care and workflow.
- Provide imaging education to residents, students, and new team members.
- Take call/standby duties as required by the department.
- May perform general radiologic technologist duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification in CT and Radiology (must be attached to submission).
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (must be attached).
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in CT and Radiology.
- Ability to work independently and handle GE CT and X-ray machines.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital or community healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with GE imaging equipment.
- Strong patient communication skills.
