Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU setting.
- Administer treatments, medications, and monitor patient progress using advanced equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations, maintaining patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience.
- Ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate strong assessment skills.
- Experience with CRRT preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR systems, particularly Meditech.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with CRRT procedures.
- Certification from APHON or other pediatric nursing organizations.
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a teaching hospital environment.
