Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Monitor critically ill children using advanced equipment including CR monitoring, CRRT, and TPT placements.
• Perform procedures such as IV starts and blood draws, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including intensivists, RTs, and other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient care accurately within the Electronic Medical Records system.
• Assist in implementing and adhering to unit policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least 2 years of pediatric or ICU nursing experience.
• Ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate strong assessment skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Must be comfortable working within a Level II Trauma pediatric environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
• Familiarity with pediatric procedures such as TPT placements.
• Prior experience working in a teaching hospital setting.
• APHON certification or training is a plus.
