Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Monitor critically ill children using advanced equipment including CR monitoring, CRRT, and TPT placements.
- Perform procedures such as IV starts and blood draws, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including intensivists, RTs, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient care accurately within the Electronic Medical Records system.
- Assist in implementing and adhering to unit policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- At least 2 years of pediatric or ICU nursing experience.
- Ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate strong assessment skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Must be comfortable working within a Level II Trauma pediatric environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
- Familiarity with pediatric procedures such as TPT placements.
- Prior experience working in a teaching hospital setting.
- APHON certification or training is a plus.
