Job Title

• Travel, Days shift, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care for individuals in the cardiovascular and stepdown units, including post-surgical and vascular surgery patients.
• Monitor patient vital signs, manage telemetry, and administer medications following protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (Cerner).
• Respond swiftly to patient needs, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Assist with procedures such as epidural management, chest tube care, and cardiac medication administration.
Required Qualifications
• Active RN license in North Carolina.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Prior experience in stepdown, telemetry, or cardiovascular surgery units.
• Ability to manage complex post-operative patients.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with cardiovascular surgeries such as CABG, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, or fem-pop bypass within the past year.
• Previous experience in CVICU or similar high-acuity units.
• Comfort handling advanced cardiac medications and invasive procedures.
