Registered Nurse - CVOR

Location: Burlington, VT

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) setting, including open heart procedures and other cardiovascular surgeries.
• Rotate between 10-hour shifts, with the flexibility to meet unit and patient care needs.
• Participate in scheduled call shifts, including weekend calls approximately once every five weeks.
• Work 2 out of 4 major holidays per year, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.
• Support the surgical team by circulating or scrubbing as needed, with the potential to float to other OR suites such as ortho, neuro, ENT, or general surgery.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, including EMR documentation and employment requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years recent OR RN experience, with strong cardiovascular/open heart surgery background.
• Prior travel experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification; CNOR certification preferred.
• Experience working in large (500+ beds), academic, or teaching hospital environments.
• Experience with Epic EMR from the past 2 years is mandatory.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional weekend calls and holidays.
• Reliable transportation, as public transit is not available in the area.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior travel nursing experience.
• General OR experience beyond cardiovascular procedures.
• Comfortable floating between different surgical units.
