Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel assignment, night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week duration
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized ICU patient care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit setting.
- Perform bedside procedures including central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to monitor and manage patient acuity levels.
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic health record system.
- Respond to patient needs promptly and efficiently, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
- Float as needed to other units based on staffing and patient acuity.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (temp licenses not accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent MICU/MSICU experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience with ICU equipment such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors.
- Proficiency in Meditech documentation system preferred.
- Ability to perform advanced ICU procedures confidently.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CCRN certification preferred.
- Experience with Meditech platform highly desirable.
- Knowledge of all ICU-related procedures and protocols.
