Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, inpatient rehab, day shifts (5x8, 0900-1730), with every third weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient physical therapy services across various hospital units, including acute care and rehabilitation settings
• Assess and develop individualized plans of care for diverse patient populations, including geriatrics, neurology, and cardiopulmonary cases
• Perform assessments using tools such as strength testing, pain evaluation, and vital signs; utilize equipment like gait belts, crutches, and therapeutic devices
• Document evaluations, progress, and discharge summaries accurately within electronic medical records, including assessments, discharge plans, and long-term goals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and support functional recovery
• Float within scope to different units as needed, supporting hospital operations

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois state license in good standing
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient or rehabilitation experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and adapt to floating between units
• Comfortable working M-F, with rotating weekends (every third weekend)
• Local candidates preferred, with ability to start within 3 days to meet onboarding requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with acute care and rehabilitation hospital settings
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system (preferred)
• Level II trauma experience (preferred)
• Teaching hospital experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of advanced modalities such as TENS, ultrasound
• Experience with diverse client populations, including neurological and orthopedic patients
