Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient EEG procedures, including routine, STAT, and continuous video EEG monitoring for all age groups.
• Prepare and apply electrodes using collodion and paste, following the 10/20 system, ensuring accurate placement and quality recordings.
• Comfort and educate patients and their families regarding procedures, addressing questions and providing support at bedside.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality neurological monitoring, including critical care patients across NICU, PICU, and other intensive units.
• Monitor EEG waveforms in real-time, identify abnormal activity, and escalate findings to physicians when necessary.
• Maintain equipment and documentation using Natus XLtek systems and Meditech for billing.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in EEG procedures.
• Proficiency in performing routine, STAT, and continuous video EEGs.
• Skilled in electrode placement according to the 10/20 system and in applying collodion and paste.
• Ability to work with neonates, pediatric, and adult patients, including critical care environments.
• Certification as a Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) preferred but not required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience monitoring continuous video EEG with the ability to identify abnormalities.
• Working knowledge of stereo EEG procedures.
• Experience working in a Level IV accredited epilepsy center or with elective Epilepsy Monitoring Units (EMU).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, 24/7 clinical setting.
