- Day shifts, full-time, 4x12-hour shifts (0700-1930)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized critical care to pediatric cardiac and cardiology patients in a Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit (PCICU).
- Manage patients with complex conditions such as congenital heart disease, VAD, ECMO, heart transplant, and other advanced supportive therapies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, and support staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including providing care for varied pediatric cardiac cases.
- Participate in weekend shifts (4 per 4-week schedule) and holiday rotations.
- Adhere to unit protocols and maintain compliance with licensing and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CVPICU).
- Active RN license in South Carolina or multi-state/compact license.
- Certifications: PALS, BLS (American Heart Association accepted).
- Experience with pediatric cardiac procedures and VAD preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- VAD experience highly preferred.
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association preferred).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
