Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage safe, effective perioperative care for surgical patients across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases
- Provide direct patient care, education, and support to patients and their families
- Act as a liaison between the surgical team and patient support systems
- Serve in roles such as Circulating Nurse, First Scrub (Instrument) Nurse, or Second Scrub (Assistant) Nurse depending on experience and training
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health records (EHR)
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of perioperative nursing experience
- Cerner EHR experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- PALS certification (American Heart Association)
- CNOR certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in gastroenterology, endoscopy labs, orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, or interventional pain management procedures
