Job Title
- Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry
Location
- Thomasville, NC
Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, contract for 13-16 weeks, with potential for float to other units with similar skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide bedside care to medical and post-surgical patients, including remote telemetry monitoring
- Perform IV starts, manage non-titratable cardiac drips, and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Document patient care accurately using hospital systems such as Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR
- Follow unit protocols, adhere to shift schedules, and support patient needs during assigned hours
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Experience with EPIC EMR system and telemetry monitoring
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
- Ability to perform IV starts and manage cardiac drips
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior telemetry certification or experience
- Additional certifications such as ACLS and NIH stroke scale are a plus
- Ability to float between units with similar skill requirements
