Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type:

Full-time, days shifts, including every other weekend and holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and legal standards
• Document patient care accurately and in accordance with standards of practice
• Develop, execute, and adjust individualized patient care plans in coordination with physicians and hospital policies, including patient and family education
• Participate in department performance improvement activities and support shared governance efforts
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance across units to support comprehensive patient care plans
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and quality of care, escalating concerns appropriately

Required Qualifications:

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse license
• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in a Medical-Surgical unit preferred
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Strong patient safety and communication skills
