Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
- Scrub during surgical procedures involving heart and vascular cases.
- Adhere to established protocols ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia, and support staff during operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient status.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months recent CVOR experience.
- Open Heart and Vascular experience preferred.
- Must have 18+ months permanent CVOR experience prior to travel assignments.
- Ability to scrub during surgical procedures.
- Recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty.
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores.
- Willingness to work at least every other holiday.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel experience in CVOR settings.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac and vascular surgical protocols.
