Telemetry Registered Nurse

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 16- to 32-week assignment, night shifts
Key Responsibilities
• Provide skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med Surg Telemetry unit, including ED Hold patients
• Work scheduled weekends, holidays, and adjust shifts to meet unit needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to abnormal rhythms
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Assist with urgent patient needs such as blood draws, IV management, bladder scans, and other unit-specific procedures
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a Med Surg or Telemetry setting
• Valid NY State RN license or proof of application with an applied date (license processing time 6-8 weeks)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
• NIHSS certification prior to start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
• CMSRN certification preferred
• Prior travel or variable schedule experience highly valued
• Experience working with adult and older adult patient populations (ages 25-99)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and adapt to unit needs and schedules
