Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support to oncology patients in a clinical setting.
• Assist physicians with patient assessments, documentation, and minor procedures such as injections and suture removal.
• Monitor patient condition during infusion treatments, ensuring safety and reporting outcomes to providers.
• Verify patient results, labs, x-rays, and reports are accurately documented prior to physician review.
• Maintain clinic cleanliness, organize supplies, and ensure equipment is properly used and maintained.
• Adhere to hospital policies, medication protocols, and quality assurance standards.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current New Mexico Registered Nurse licensure.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential or ability to obtain per board regulations.
• Chemo infusion certification preferred.
• Experience working in a medical office/physician practice preferred.
• Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities in English.
• Ability to perform procedures such as injections, sutures, and medication management.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an oncology or infusion center.
• Familiarity with medical office equipment and procedures.
• Compassionate and professional demeanor with excellent patient communication skills.
