- Full-time, 13-16 week assignment, night shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for individuals receiving medical surgical or telemetry services.
- Monitor patients with continuous cardiac observation, including telemetry management.
- Administer medications, including blood products and IV therapy, following safety protocols.
- Assist with procedures such as port access, chest tube management, and arterial line care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to manage symptoms related to disease progression and treatment.
- Document care and patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs.
- Skills in port access, IV starts, and central line management.
- Strong understanding of infection prevention and fall prevention protocols.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel experience preferred.
- Experience with GE telemetry systems, specialty equipment such as B450 monitors, bladder scanners, and Stryker beds.
- Knowledge of high-flow nasal cannula therapy and chest tube procedures.
