Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients.
- Float between the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Center (ICC) units as needed.
- Monitor and stabilize patients with urgent and non-urgent conditions, including hematology, oncology, and sickle cell cases.
- Support patients presenting with symptoms such as sickle cell crisis, fever, abdominal pain, uncontrolled pain, anemia, nausea, vomiting, and dehydration.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- 2+ years of ER experience.
- Experience working with Epic electronic medical record system.
- Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with oncology or hematology patients.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, supportive environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
