Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care by performing treatments and procedures according to established protocols.
- Observe patients and report adverse reactions to medication or treatment.
- Administer medications as permitted by policy, licensure, and state regulations.
- Respond promptly and safely to patient requests and report significant observations to the RN.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the patient’s care plan and deliver care safely within established standards.
- Assist in planning and implementing patient care under the direction of the RN.
- Identify emergency situations, initiate appropriate nursing measures within scope of practice, and seek assistance as needed.
- Instruct patients in self-care following the teaching plan and document care provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience working in LTC/SNF settings preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong knowledge of nursing protocols and procedures.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Excellent documentation skills.
