- Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, Day shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients, including administration of chemotherapy and supportive treatments.
- Monitor patient status, manage symptoms, and respond to emergent needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Assist with procedures such as pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis.
- Document patient care accurately in Electronic Medical Records (Cerner).
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital policies and protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or valid multi-state license via compact.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology or medical-surgical units.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certification in Chemotherapy/Biotherapy (Chemo certification).
- Experience with cancer care procedures and supportive treatments.
- Strong patient communication and critical thinking skills.
