Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Primary Purpose: The RBT provides direct behavioral intervention and support services to students with behavioral or social-emotional needs, under close supervision of a BCBA. The RBT helps implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), collect data, and support students in general and specialized settings to promote positive behaviors, skill acquisition, and academic engagement.

Position Details:

• Location: St. Louis, MO
• Pay: Starting at $25/hr (Unsupervised), Starting $32/hr (Supervised)
• Hours: May vary based on location
• Schedule: May vary based on location

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in psychology or related field preferred.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral intervention techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one behavior therapy sessions based on individualized treatment plans.
• Implement behavior interventions and data collection procedures as outlined in the client's behavior plan.
• Observe and document client behavior, progress, and responses to interventions.
• Assist in modifying intervention strategies based on collected data and supervision feedback.
• Support clients in developing communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Maintain a positive and encouraging environment to foster client engagement and progress.
