Full-time, night shift (3x12 hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Manage a caseload with a patient ratio of 1:6 across all shifts.
- Demonstrate proficiency in starting IVs and administering treatments.
- Float between two Medical Surgical units as needed within scope of practice.
- Comply with hospital protocols, including charting using Cerner.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver quality patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid active Illinois RN license or in process with an ETA to obtain.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience starting IVs required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a teaching or community hospital setting.
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic charting system.
- Experience working in a Critical Access or Magnet hospital.
