Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, bronchoscopy, and EBUS.
- Assist physicians with procedural tasks and ensure patient safety throughout treatments.
- Reprocess endoscopic equipment according to hospital guidelines.
- Monitor patient conditions pre- and post-procedure, ensuring proper recovery and documentation.
- Collaborate with a team of nurses and technical staff to deliver high-quality patient care on busy GI/endoscopy units.
- Participate in on-call duties, approximately 4-7 days per month.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an endoscopy or GI unit.
- Strong knowledge of endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, bronchoscopy, and EBUS.
- Ability to work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Flexibility to participate in call shifts as required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with endoscope reprocessing and troubleshooting equipment.
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and with patients.
