• Registered Nurse - Operating Room

• Alamogordo, NM

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (Days, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, demonstrating proficiency and independence in nursing assessments, planning, and implementation.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with team members regarding patient status and needs.
• Maintain clinical competence through ongoing education and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
• Promote positive relationships with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians, ensuring a professional and compassionate approach at all times.
• Support hospital and department quality initiatives and compliance with legal and organizational standards.

Required Qualifications

• RN License in the state of New Mexico (or Compact licensure).
• BLS certification via AHA.
• ACLS certification via AHA.
• PALS certification via AHA.
• Verbal CPI certification required (hiring).
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in additional languages is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal skills, with basic computer knowledge.
