Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, dayshift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), with every other weekend scheduled
Key Responsibilities
- Provide bedside care to telemetry patients in a 29-bed Med Surg unit
- Monitor patient cardiac rhythms, including dysrhythmia management
- Utilize PCA pumps, IV pumps, and telemetry equipment for patient treatment
- Document care and patient information accurately in the Meditech Expanse system
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Support unit operations and adapt to floating policies as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including every other weekend
- Comfortable with using PCA and IV pumps, telemetry systems, and electronic documentation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a hospital setting with telemetry units
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse or similar electronic health record systems
- Strong clinical skills in emergency situations and patient safety practices
