Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in various ICU and intermediate care units, including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care, Surgical Trauma ICU, Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, and units focused on critical care for special pathogens such as COVID.
• Support float staffing across multiple ICU units, ensuring optimal patient care during night shifts.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to manage critically ill patients and monitor vital signs and treatment plans.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including float policies, and maintain compliance with all safety and clinical standards.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system.
• Participate in holiday rotations, working two out of three winter holidays, with flexibility for time-off approval.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Virginia Registered Nurse license (provisional submissions accepted).
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Epic electronic medical record experience.
• Ability to work 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Must comply with hospital float policies and safety standards.
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma settings strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in ICU or critical care units.
• Level 1 Trauma experience highly desirable.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and night shifts.
