Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients in a Labor and Delivery unit.
- Perform triage assessments, inductions, cesarean deliveries, external versions, NSTs, and circumcisions.
- Administer magnesium sulfate and other medications as prescribed.
- Assist with newborn resuscitation and stabilization efforts.
- Support patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee.
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
- At least 1 year of EPIC electronic medical record experience.
- Must have current TN RN licensure.
- Experience with special procedures including triage assessments, inductions, cesareans, external versions, NSTs, circumcisions, and neonatal resuscitation.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced L&D environment.
- Ability to float to other units within the hospital as required, based on skill set.
- Knowledge of obstetric and neonatal care protocols.
