Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient care to adult medical-surgical patients in a 56-bed unit
• Monitor and assess patient condition, administer treatments, and update care plans
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient management
• Assist with procedures such as inserting central lines, managing tracheostomies, and chest tubes
• Utilize EPIC EHR system for documentation and orders
• Support telemonitoring and utilize appropriate equipment like Bipap, Cpap, high-flow oxygen
Required Qualifications
• Active Illinois RN license or confirmed application in process
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Central Lines, Tracheostomies, Chest Tubes
• Skills with EPIC Electronic Health Record system preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous experience in a MedSurg or Level I trauma center setting
• Knowledge of titratable drips such as Heparin and Lasix
• Travel nursing experience considered a plus
