Schedule / Job Type
- Day shift, full-time, 12-hour shifts, on-site
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to elderly patients, including those with dementia and behavioral health conditions
- Perform charting of skilled nursing documentation, including COVID-related records, using the PCC electronic medical record system
- Support patient care during day shifts with medication administration, patient assessments, and care planning
- Collaborate with a team of medical aides and nurses to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Participate in orientation, training, and shadowing opportunities to become familiar with facility protocols and patient population
- Complete documentation and clinical tasks within designated shift hours
Required Qualifications
- Valid LVN or LPN license in the state of South Dakota
- Experience with skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
- Competency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically PCC
- Ability to handle elderly patients, including those with dementia and behavioral health needs
- Basic knowledge of medication administration and patient assessment techniques
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in LTC or SNF settings
- Familiarity with dementia and behavioral health patient care
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
