Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in a Level III NICU setting.
• Perform assessments, diagnosis, and develop care plans with defined outcome criteria.
• Assist with procedures including intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement, IV starts, and admissions.
• Operate equipment such as ventilators, nitric oxide therapy, MedFusion pumps, smart pumps, and monitors.
• Chart and document patient care accurately using Epic (OneChart).
• Support the NICU team in maintaining a safe and compassionate environment for vulnerable infants.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in neonatal nursing.
• Active ND and Compact RN license (willing to obtain if not already held).
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Ability and willingness to float to PICU and PEDS units.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Proficiency with neonatal procedures such as IV placements, umbilical lines, CPAP, and G-tubes.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level III NICU.
• Familiarity with high-frequency ventilators, nitric oxide, and cool cap therapies.
• Prior employment with Sanford Health within the last 6 months (if applicable).
