Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and document initial patient assessments, prioritizing care based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
- Reassess patients systematically to monitor progress and identify trends requiring intervention.
- Develop and implement individualized, measurable care plans aligned with Nursing Standards of Care.
- Make informed nursing decisions through interpretation of patient data, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Participate in patient and family education, discharge planning, and patient advocacy.
- Perform Point of Care testing procedures accurately and efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in New Mexico or an active Compact state license.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Experience with Epic electronic health records preferred.
- Knowledge of patient rights and sensitivity to diverse patient populations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous PACU or perioperative nursing experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
