Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the Operating Room.
• Coordinate patient care activities before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, physicians, and staff to facilitate efficient and effective surgeries.
• Monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately in the EMR system.
• Assist with float requirements across various departments as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (NM or Compact license accepted).
• BLS and ACLS certification via American Heart Association.
• Trauma experience required.
• Responsibilities include 1-2 weekend call shifts and 1-2 call nights per week.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Epic EMR system preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior operating room or surgical nursing experience.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative protocols and patient safety standards.
• Flexibility to float to other departments when required.
