Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location
• Springfield, IL

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 or 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality emergency care to adult and pediatric patients in a Level I trauma center
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, including obtaining 12-lead EKGs and managing multisystem organ dysfunction
• Administer IV therapies, including blood products, IV sedation, vasopressors, and procedural sedation
• Perform advanced neurological assessments for conditions such as stroke, spinal injuries, and traumatic brain injuries
• Manage orthopedic emergencies, including splinting and stabilization
• Handle pediatric cases such as respiratory issues, infections, seizures, and abuse reports, as well as psychiatric emergencies involving psychosis and overdose

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• Valid Illinois nursing license or in application with an ETA for licensing
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Strong skills in cardiac monitoring, trauma management, and emergency response techniques
• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage complex patient conditions

Preferred Experience / Skills
• General ED experience including combined adult/pediatric patient care
• proficiency in trauma protocols, neurological assessments, and pediatric emergencies
• Ability to work within a fast-paced trauma environment
• Experience with isolation precautions and triage procedures
