Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessments to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition changes effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Identify communication barriers related to psychosocial, literacy, financial, or cultural factors and address them appropriately.
• Educate patients and families tailored to age, cultural background, and medical circumstances.
• Delegate patient care tasks to ancillary personnel and precept new nurses or students.
• Utilize critical thinking and sound judgment to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Build therapeutic relationships through caring behaviors and professionalism.
• Incorporate evidence-based practices and technological solutions to improve patient outcomes.
• Respect diversity, demonstrate empathy, and practice culturally sensitive care.

Required Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN license in Colorado or a Compact State
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS or ENPC certification (Pediatric Advance Life Support or Emergency Nurs PC)
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in Med/Surg nursing preferred
• Knowledge of patient-centered care principles and evidence-based interventions
