Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and care for patients immediately after surgery as they recover from anesthesia
- Assess vital signs, manage pain, and ensure airway management
- Administer medications and update patient records accurately
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care procedures
- Address potential complications and provide emotional support
- Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and recovery
Required Qualifications
- Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS (American Heart Association) certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PACU RN
- Ability to work 10-hour evening shifts with one weeknight on-call shift (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Strong patient monitoring and post-operative care skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous PACU or perioperative nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Experience working with surgical teams and anesthesia providers
