Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Days / Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required.
• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct, patient-centered care during shifts.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs, responses, and treatments.
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or per protocol, documenting appropriately.
• Identify and meet patient and family education and discharge needs throughout the care episode.
• Supervise clinical support staff, including LPNs and non-licensed personnel.
• Complete patient education and competency assessments according to unit standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Current state of New Mexico or Compact State nursing license.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent.
• At least one 13-week prior travel assignment.
• Two years of current experience in a medical-surgical setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• EPIC electronic health record experience (training available onsite).
• Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
