Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures in a busy inpatient surgical unit.
- Assist surgeons and medical staff during various surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques.
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and ensure proper sterilization processes are followed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support high-volume case workload, involving specialties such as Orthopedics, Neuro, Urology, General, and Thoracic surgery.
- Operate and support the use of advanced surgical technology, including robotic systems (e.g., XI Robots).
- Ensure compliance with safety and hospital protocols throughout all procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist certification (NBSTA) or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a surgical setting within a specialty area.
- Ability to work day shift hours consistently.
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility considered.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume surgical unit supporting various service lines.
- Familiarity with robotic surgical systems, particularly XI Robots.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
