Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Perform standard ED procedures such as IV placement, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications including IV vasopressors and procedural sedation, and monitor patients with complex diagnoses such as head injuries, trauma, and drowning.
• Utilize hospital systems for documentation and medication management, including MediTech and Pyxis.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team via Vocera communication system.
• Adhere to all safety and isolation protocols, including use of navy blue scrubs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois or eligible for licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and administering IV medications.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a combined adult/pediatric emergency department.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures such as CVA, ortho-trauma, and near drowning cases.
• Familiarity with MediTech documentation system and Pyxis medication system.
