Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial triage and assessments for patients presenting for urgent care services.
• Provide telephone consultations, including health advice and self-care guidance.
• Administer medications, monitor specialized equipment, and initiate and maintain IV therapies.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and education in electronic medical records.
• Facilitate patient referrals, track progress, and coordinate care with internal and external providers.
• Respond to emergency situations and participate in department improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 2 years of general nursing experience, with at least 1 year in ambulatory or urgent care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Ability to perform assessments, prioritize patient needs, and utilize medical equipment effectively.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Ambulatory care or urgent care clinical experience.
• Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and clinic procedures.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
