• Full-time, 16-32 week assignment, night shift

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for adult patients (ages 25-99) in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit, including ED HOLD patients and emergency coverage.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry signals, administer medications, and perform assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, assisting with procedures such as IV placements, blood draws, and bladder scans.
• Work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotations, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
• Complete required documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system.
• Support patient safety protocols and assist with unit-specific procedures as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience.
• Current New York State RN license or proof of application with applied date.
• BLS certification; CMSRN preferred.
• NIHSS certification required prior to start.
• Epic electronic health record experience from within the past 2 years.
• Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays, and reliably commute to the facility.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with adult med-surg and telemetry patients in a hospital setting.
• Prior travel or float nursing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with infectious disease protocols and equipment such as IV pumps and bladder scanners.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to adapt to unit needs.
