Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care on a 42-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit specializing in cardiac monitoring and treatment.
- Float between units and hospitals as needed, providing flexible support to various medical and surgical patients.
- Monitor and respond to cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain, shortness of breath, and other cardiac conditions.
- Deliver patient-centered care for patients with pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, stroke, and surgical needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Comply with hospital policies, including holiday and weekend requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a Compact State (no temporary licenses accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a clinical specialty setting, preferably cardiac telemetry.
- Strong ability to float between units and adapt to various patient needs.
- Experience with Meditech electronic medical records system.
