Key Responsibilities

• Deliver age-specific, direct patient care in the emergency room setting.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Follow departmental and specialty standards of patient care to ensure quality outcomes.
• Assume leadership responsibilities, including delegation of tasks to team members.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and policies governing healthcare provision.
• Maintain active certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS (or ENPC) prior to contract start; courses to be completed if not already certified at orientation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Vermont.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications.
• Possess excellent assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, emergency environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous ER or emergency care experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and delegation skills.
