Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to outpatient and inpatient dialysis patients, supporting chronic renal therapy.
- Float between various units within a 40-minute radius, including outpatient, acute UVMMC, Berlin, and Joy Drive locations.
- Adapt to different clinical settings, demonstrating flexibility in schedule and shift lengths (8, 9, 10, 12 hours).
- Work scheduled shifts with no call responsibilities, including weekend coverage.
- Participate in bi-weekly orientations and ensure comprehensive documentation of work history and employment gaps.
- Support patients during holidays as required, working 2 out of 4 holiday shifts (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day).
Required Qualifications
- AHA BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in outpatient dialysis.
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
- Recent EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required).
- Reliable transportation, personal or rental vehicle, equipped for winter driving (including all-season or snow tires from November through April).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong skill set in both outpatient and inpatient dialysis settings.
- Flexibility and adaptability to float between units and shifts.
