Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Location: Kansas City, MO
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shifts
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units, including ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Interpret and respond to dysrhythmias; manage cardiac drips, including PCA and titrations.
• Monitor and care for ventilated patients, including those with tracheostomies, CPAP/BIPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapies.
• Manage gastrointestinal feeding tubes, IV therapy, and access ports; perform blood draws and manage dialysis patients.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including isolation precautions and emergency response procedures.
• Collaborate within a team environment, floating between departments as needed to meet patient care demands.
  
  Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience.
• Strong ventilator and telemetry experience.
• Valid RN license in the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred but not required.
  
  Preferred Experience / Skills:
• Experience with pulmonary and cardiac patient care, including ventilator management and respiratory therapies.
• Familiarity with complex medication administration protocols such as Heparin management.
• Ability to interpret ABGs and manage high-acuity patients.
• Experience working in a Magnet-recognized hospital or tertiary care setting.
