Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Night shifts, full-time or part-time (36 or 48 hours per week), 13-26 week contracts, some weekend shifts required, float responsibilities included

Key Responsibilities
• Provide bedside patient care in a neuro-focused medical-surgical unit, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical standards
• Collaborate with team members using a teamwork approach to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Utilize hospital systems such as EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR for documentation, medication administration, and communication
• Participate in unit orientation and pass EKG testing prior to start, with a focus on neuro patient needs and diagnoses
• Assist during catastrophic events or disasters as part of storm/hurricane response teams
• Maintain flexibility with schedule and unit assignments, including float duties and working during potential emergency situations

Required Qualifications
• Active RN license in North Carolina or eligible for licensure in North Carolina
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital RN experience in a medical-surgical setting, preferably with neuro focus
• Current certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start for neuro specialty
• Strong teamwork skills and commitment to patient safety

Preferred Experience / Skills
• NIC, Neuro experience strongly preferred
• Willingness to learn or assume charge nurse responsibilities
• Experience with neuro patient care and use of hospital systems such as EPIC and Pyxis
