Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a Cardiovascular Operating Room setting.
• Assist with surgeries including complex procedures such as valve repairs/replacements, CABG, TAVR, thoracic surgeries, and others.
• Administer medications, monitor patient vital signs, and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical process.
• Document patient care and communicate effectively with surgical team members using SBAR and electronic systems like EPIC.
• Adhere to strict policies regarding RTO and scheduling, including no work-out options post-booking.
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient management and assist with emergent procedures as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active nursing license with at least 2 years of CVOR experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Circulating and scrub experience in the CVOR.
• Willingness to work 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Ability to work 10 call days per month, including one weekend.
• Must provide availability for interviews within the next 72 hours.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR).
• Scrub experience in advanced cardiovascular procedures.
• Familiarity with robotic thoracic surgery, TAVR, and complex cardiac surgeries.
• Experience with PVXIS, EPIC, and surgical protocols such as SBAR.
